Sundhöll Reykjavík Pool improvements – maintenance closure extended by several days

Maintenance and improvements at Sundhöll Reykjavík Pool are essential to keep the facilities safe and up-to-date. However, unforeseen issues can delay this kind of work.

Snorri Örn Arnaldsson, director of the pool, says the work has turned out to be more extensive than originally planned. "Areas we thought were in good condition actually needed repair. After we finished emptying all our large bins, we discovered several problems. Pool staff and contractors have been working hard all week and will continue over the next few days."

The pool was set to reopen Monday, Aug. 25, but it is now clear the reopening will be delayed by just a few days. A new date will be posted on the pool's website as soon as possible.
