Reykjavík mayor sends condolences to Örebro
Einar Þorsteinsson, mayor of Reykjavík, has sent a message of condolence to John Johansson, mayor of Örebro, following Tuesday's shooting incident.
The Reykjavík mayor's message reads as follows:
Dear John Johansson,
On behalf of all Reykjavík residents, I extend my deepest condolences for those who lost their lives and were injured in yesterday's horrific shooting at Risbergska School.
We must stand united in protecting free, just, and tolerant democratic societies where everyone can thrive on their own terms, and stand against the senseless hatred and violence we witnessed yesterday in Örebro.
Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and friends, and all the people of Örebro.
