Ax throwing draws attention

The program offered diverse entertainment that appealed to all age groups. The grounds buzzed with excitement as guests could try out a monster truck, go kayaking in the swimming pool, play in bounce houses and climbing towers, get their bikes inspected and enjoy various playground equipment from ÍTR. The festival also featured disc golf, face painting, cake stands, delicious popcorn and cotton candy. Ax throwing also drew considerable attention, with many people trying their hand at the skill. Food trucks from Götubitinn – Reykjavik Street Food were on site offering delicious food and drinks.

Brass band and school tours

The festival opened with a formal spring ceremony featuring a performance by the Árbær and Breiðholt Brass Band. Following the ceremony, guided school tours began, giving guests the chance to revisit old memories and see how the school has evolved over the years.

The atmosphere was truly festive, and Ölduselsskóli and Reykjavík City thank everyone who attended and helped make the day memorable.
