Is there an outstanding teacher, project and/or educational innovation in your municipality or your children's school?
Anyone can submit nominations for the 2025 Icelandic Education Awards, which will be presented at Bessastaðir this November. Nominations must be received by June 1.
The awards aim to enhance educational innovation and draw public attention to ambitious and high-quality school and recreational activities for children and adolescents.
The awards are presented in five categories:
- Outstanding school or educational innovation, one award given to a school or other educational institution.
- Outstanding teacher, one award given to a teacher.
- Outstanding development project, one award. Eligible projects include those related to school and recreational activities, arts education, or other work with children and young people.
- Outstanding vocational and technical education, one award given to a teacher, curriculum author, or educational institution.
- Inspiration Award to an individual, group, or organizationconsidered to have excelled.
