Reykjavík City is now seeking interested individuals or groups to participate in the Standby Squares project 2025. This time, the focus is on celebrating forest life in all its glory.
We explore questions such as: Where and how can we enhance this life? This year's projects aim to promote increased forest life, both human and biological. Projects might include creating new gathering spaces and educational areas, or initiatives that improve accessibility for all while increasing biodiversity.
Reykjavík is rich in natural amenities. Lakes, valleys, coves, hillsides, moors and especially forests all offer city residents opportunities for physical and mental rejuvenation. Good accessibility and diverse facilities in our recreational paradises help make this possible. Do you have an innovative forest-themed idea?
