Inspiration and networking for the school year at Uppspretta

Uppspretta 2025

Uppspretta, a dynamic forum for school and recreational activities, was held with great success last week. Guests were pleased with all the engaging presentations they could experience firsthand in the beautiful surroundings of Hafnarhús Museum.

Opportunities for collaboration

The agenda included presentations on diverse events, education, field trips and resources covering culture, arts, technology, nature, history, languages and experiments, among other subjects. Participants included Alþingi, Reykjavík City Library, National Museum of Iceland, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, RÚV, the National Theater and many other institutions that contribute to education and culture in the country.

Guests enjoyed light refreshments and a warm, encouraging, and festive atmosphere. Admission was free and all were welcome, creating an open and accessible venue for networking and inspiration for the upcoming school year.

Uppspretta offers a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration between schools, recreational activities and cultural institutions – and it already appears to have established itself as an important event at the beginning of the school year.
