Construction begins on Bæjarháls
Construction begins Wednesday, June 18 on Bæjarháls, marking the first phase of improvements to five intersections along Höfðabakki. The construction work will improve safety and traffic flow for both drivers and pedestrians.
At Bæjarháls, the City will upgrade traffic lights and trails, install wider median islands along Höfðabakki, remove right-turn bypass lanes and improve street lighting. The construction will not require any street closures, but drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions while work is in progress.
