Clean Water for the Future - lunchtime meeting by Veitur Utilities and Reykjavík City

Veitur Utilities and Reykjavík City are hosting an open lunchtime meeting on March 21 to mark World Water Day.

March 22 is World Water Day, highlighting the importance of freshwater.

The theme of the lunchtime meeting is: How can we ensure access to clean drinking water for the future? The meeting will be held at Elliðaársstöð, in the new restaurant called Elliði from noon-1:30pm.

Sandra Barilli will serve as moderator.

Program:

  • Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir, mayor, will open the meeting
  • Clean Water from Heiðmörk for the Future - Sólrún Kristjánsdóttir, CEO of Veitur Utilities
  • Reflections on the Age of Water - Andri Snær Magnason.

Panel discussion:

Joining Sólrún and Andri Snær in the discussion will be Sigrún Tómasdóttir, water resource leader at Reykjavík Energy, and Harpa Þorsteinsdóttir, project manager for Public Health Affairs at Reykjavík City.

Refreshments will be provided at the meeting, and it will also be livestreamed.
