Breiðholtsskóli upper primary school climbs Mount Esja
Students and staff at the adolescent level in Breiðholtsskóli had a wonderful day on Sept. 16 when they took a group hike up Mount Esja to celebrate Icelandic Nature Day. The weather cooperated beautifully, and the atmosphere was exceptional, with smiles and laughter filling the day from start to finish.
Unforgettable memories and great companionship
The entire adolescent level, along with teachers and other staff, set off up this popular local mountain. Most made it up to Steinn, and while not everyone managed to reach the summit, everyone tried their best and enjoyed being outdoors. After the hike, hot dogs and juice were served, which really hit the spot after the day's adventure.
The students who went the farthest were especially proud to have reached Steinn! The day was a complete success and serves as a perfect example of how spending time together in nature can strengthen the school community and create unforgettable memories.
