The annual Art Without Borders art and crafts market takes place at Reykjavík City Hall the weekend of Nov. 8-9, 2025. Open from 1 to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Art Without Borders is an arts festival that highlights art by disabled people. The festival takes place every year in October and has gained a special place in cultural life throughout Iceland. The focus is on ensuring that art by disabled people is valued equally with other art, and the festival has also sparked more discussion about the representation of disabled artists in the arts. The festival features all art forms through collaboration between artists, theater groups and musicians. This year's festival runs from Oct. 9 to Nov. 15 and features a diverse program.

Crafts market at Reykjavík City Hall

The annual crafts market is held each year as part of the Art Without Borders arts festival. Art and crafts by disabled artists will be available, including artwork, candles, jewelry, knitwear, ceramics and various gift items. All proceeds from art and crafts sales go directly to the artists.

There will be music and a cozy atmosphere — the perfect chance to stop by and pick up Christmas gifts!
  • City Hall offers good accessibility.
  • Parking for disabled people is available near the entrance and in the parking garage, along with an elevator and accessible restroom.
  • Admission is free — everyone is welcome.
The festival is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Children, Reykjavík City, the Icelandic Disability Alliance and Hitt Húsið Youth Center.
