Applications for Reykjavík City's District Fund are now open with a deadline of April 15.
Purpose of the District Fund
The District Fund aims to strengthen community bonds, solidarity and cooperation among residents, enhance neighborhood beautification, improve safety and enrich daily life in various ways based on residents' needs.
The fund supports individuals and groups who want to contribute to their community through neighborhood-related projects and/or events. Priority is given to projects that benefit the widest range of neighborhood residents, encourage participation from diverse groups in community activities, or focus on beautification and development of areas used by a significant portion of residents.
