Many people are eagerly waiting for Culture Night, which will take place Aug. 23 in Reykjavík. This year, 24 exciting projects will receive grants from Landsbankinn's Culture Night fund, all designed to entertain visitors at Culture Night 2025.

A working group representing Reykjavík City selected the grant recipients from 80 applications submitted this round. The total grant funding amounts to 4 million króna, spread across the 24 projects.

The projects are as varied as they are numerous, featuring different types of music and magic shows, dance, puppet shows, recycling activities, poetry readings and street festivals. Skateboarders of all ages will compete at the skateboarding event Skrans, and Culture Night visitors can test their strength in outdoor bench press competitions and take part in the Reykjavík Championship of the classic game Rock-Paper-Scissors!

It's truly a diverse lineup for Culture Night this year, and there's every reason to get excited!

See you at Culture Night on Aug. 23!
