The Square - Reykjavík City's eLearning system - has now replaced the Education Square (I. Fræðslutorgið), and all class registrations are managed there.
The Square manages the education and training of Reykjavík City employees, including mandatory education, new employee training, leadership training, and all other educational opportunities available to employees.
The Square is always open.
In The Square (I. Torgið), employees can access digital learning resources, such as videos or texts, or register for real-time education, both distanced and on-site.
The Square significantly improves access to education as well as follow-up and overview for managers.
The Square is an open area where all City employees are welcome. It never closes and is always bustling with activity. Employees can access the materials they need and discover other new and exciting things there.
The term "torga" also means to absorb, which is a fun connection to the name of the eLearning system.
