Reykjavík Public Health has prepared a proposal for temporary operating permits for New Year's Eve bonfires in Reykjavík from December 31, 2023, to January 1, 2024. The proposal recommends that the operation should comply with coordinated operating permit conditions for bonfires and guidelines for New Year's Eve bonfires. Documents related to the proposals are available on Reykjavík Public Health's website. From October 25 to November 22, 2023, everyone is permitted to submit comments and suggestions regarding the proposals. Comments must be in writing and sent to Reykjavík Public Health at Borgartún 12-14, 105 Reykjavík, or via email to heilbrigdiseftirlit@reykjavik.is.
