A notice from the association of municipalities in the Greater Reykjavík area about repayment of service fees.
In instances where the services of preschools, compulsory schools and after schools centres are postponed because of strikes, assembly restrictions, illness or quarantine of employees or other comparable reasons, service fees will be corrected according to the period of postponed service.
In instances where children cannot use the service because of quarantine or illness, service fees will be corrected accordingly. If parents choose not to use services because of the instructions of the authorites the same applies.
The above is about service fees of preschools, compulsory schools and after school centres.
The decision is temporary and valid until the end of May. It will be reviewed according to the circumstances. A new decision will be advertised not later than May 15 2020.
The motion has yet to be decided upon by the Executive council of Reykjavík city.
