Following welfare services closed due to Covid-19

Covid-19 Welfare

""

Reykjavík‘s Welfare Department has temporarily closed community centres, day care centres, work and activity-focused support services and short-term admissions for the elderly, handicapped and people who suffer from underlying diseases.

These measures are taken for the safety of vulnerable groups to protect them from the spread of Covid-19 corona virus.

The Welfare Department will inform all those who use their services when and if the situation changes.  All other services provided by the Welfare Department will be carried out according to schedule - such as the home-service, home-nursing and any other home-support for the elderly, handicapped and for children and adults with special needs.

The Welfare Service operates under clear working procedures, and will inform their employees and customers of the department’s contingency plan now in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
