Artist Erró awarded Dodda Maggý a prize, money and recognition, from the Guðmunda S. Kristinsdóttir Arts Fund, for her contribution in the field of art. The award ceremony took place at the opening of the exhibition Black and White at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús.

Artist Erró awarded Dodda Maggý a prize, money and recognition, from the Guðmunda S. Kristinsdóttir Arts Fund, for her contribution in the field of art. The award ceremony took place at the opening of the exhibition Black and White at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús.

Erró established the fund in memory of his aunt, Guðmunda. The fund is intended to promote and support women's art. This is the nineteenth time the grant is awarded from the fund.

Since 1998 18 women artists have been awarded by the fund: Ólöf Nordal (1998), Finna Birna Steinsson (1999), Katrín Sigurðardóttir (2000), Gabríela Friðriksdóttir (2001), Sara Björnsdóttir (2002), Þóra Þórisdóttir (2003), Guðrún Vera Hjartardóttir (2004), Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir (2006), Hulda Stefánsdóttir (2008), Margrét H. Blöndal (2009), Sara Riel (2010), Þórdís Aðalsteinsdóttir (2011), Ósk Vilhjálmsdóttir (2012), Guðný Rós Ingimarsdóttir (2013), Ásdís Sif Gunnarsdóttir (2014), Sirra Sigrún Sigurðardóttir (2015), Hildigunnur Birgisdóttir (2016) and Elín Hansdóttir (2017).
