The Winter Lights Festival will take place from February 5 to 8. Preparations for the festival are in full swing, with many artists, both international and local, participating to create a unique atmosphere.

A diverse program will be offered in all six municipalities of the capital area, ensuring no one will be bored.

The Winter Lights Festival enlivens city life during the darkest winter months by connecting various cultural elements related to the festival's theme of light and darkness.

The festival consists of three main pillars: Light Trail, Museum Night and Pool Night.

Light art installations create an enjoyable Light Trail during the Winter Lights Festival this year. Over a dozen works illuminate the dark season, forming a fun walking path from Hallgrímskirkja to Reykjavík City Hall.

Museum Night will take place on Friday, Feb. 6. Museums in the capital area will open their doors and offer an entertaining and diverse program.

Pool Night will be held on Saturday, February 8 at selected pools in the capital area. Visitors will experience an unusual evening in captivating darkness.

See you there!
