Reykjavík City is seeking suggestions for houses and grounds that deserve this year's beautification awards. Awards recognize quality renovations of older houses and exemplary grounds of service, institutional and multi-family buildings.

Deadline June 12

Suggestions should be submitted by email with the subject line "Fegrunarviðurkenningar 2026" (Beautification Awards 2026) to skipulag@reykjavik.is no later than June 12th.

The selection will be made by a working group made up of representatives from the Department of Environment and Planning and the City History Museum. The awards have been presented annually since 1968 when Reykjavík City's beautification committee was formed and first selected the city's most beautiful street, choosing Safamýri.
