  • Would you like to highlight thriving and innovative recreational activities  run by Reykjavík City.
  • Are you aware of ambitious development projects, exciting experiments, or interesting collaborative projects at youth centers and/or after-school programs?
  • Would you like to give recognition and encouragement to recreational staff in Reykjavík?

The goal is to highlight the flourishing school and recreational activities operated by Reykjavík City. The awards are intended to encourage staff and promote innovation and professional development. The awards recognize excellent work that benefits children and parents, serving as a model for others in the field.

Anyone can nominate

Nominations are invited for the School & Recreation Council's incentive awards for recreational activities in Reykjavík. Nominations are open until March 4, 2026.

Anyone can submit nominations: parents, grandparents, SFS staff, other City employees, preschools, primary schools, recreation centers, other institutions and organizations. In selecting recipients, consideration will be given to projects that can serve as an inspiration to others and promote excellence, while also ensuring that a diverse range of initiatives receive recognition. Three outstanding projects will be honored, and each workplace will receive a certificate and a trophy.
