The Greenlandic flag was hoisted to full staff at Reykjavík City Hall at noon today to show symbolic solidarity with our neighbors.

The City Council approved flying the Greenlandic flag at City Hall at its Tuesday meeting. The goal is, according to the mayor's proposal, "to show our neighbors symbolic solidarity in the spirit of West Nordic cooperation. The Greenlandic flag will be flown alongside the Icelandic flag on the flagpoles northwest of Reykjavík City Hall in accordance with Icelandic flag laws for the next few weeks," the proposal states.
