Grants awarded from Landsbankinn's Culture Night Fund
Many people are eagerly waiting for Culture Night, which will take place Aug. 22 in Reykjavík. Thirty-one projects have received grants from Landsbankinn's Culture Night Fund.
This year, 31 exciting projects will receive grants from Landsbankinn's Culture Night Fund. The projects aim to bring fine arts, music, and a wide variety of artistic performances to city residents — both indoors and outdoors — during Culture Night.
A Reykjavík City working group selected the grant recipients from a total of 63 applications. In total, five million króna in grants will be awarded.
The projects cover a wide range of disciplines, including various musical performances, magic acts, dance, K-pop dance, reuse, a poetry collective, and a new circus show featuring two clowns. Culture Night visitors can also try their hand at an outdoor bench press competition.
It's truly a diverse lineup for Culture Night this year, and there's every reason to get excited!
