Diverse program at UNGLIST 2026
Unglist 2026, a youth arts festival, begins Saturday, Oct. 31, and runs through Nov. 7. All events are free.
Unglist, a youth arts festival, gives emerging artists a platform to shine and celebrates youth culture for ages 16-25.
Dance fills the stage, instruments ring out, voices soar, actors compete in improv, models strut down runways, and free-flowing creative image-making and creative writing are festival mainstays. Diversity thrives at Unglist, where everyone can find something to enjoy.
Youth have a unique opportunity to showcase youth culture and their artistic work, from idea to completion.
The program includes Leikhúsfestival at Tjarnarbíó, Dans pop up and Kór og klór at Sundhöll Reykjavík Pool, the Kvikyndi short film festival, and art workshops where visual arts students from Breiðholt Comprehensive Secondary School (FB) exhibit their work.
An Iceland Airwaves off-venue event will take place at Hitt Húsið Youth Center, where grassroots acts from Iceland's music scene will take the stage in Elliðaárdalur to perform a wide range of music. Finally, the Éclat fashion show will feature work by future fashion designers from the design and tailoring programs at Breiðholt Comprehensive Secondary School and Reykjavík Technical College.
Admission to all Unglist events is free.
Since its inception, Hitt Húsið Youth Center, part of Reykjavík City's Department of Culture and Sports, has organized Unglist.
Breathe in the fresh air of tomorrow's art!
Everyone is welcome!
