Building Preservation Fund now accepting applications

The Reykjavík City Building Preservation Fund seeks applications for grants to repair and restore historically or artistically significant buildings in Reykjavík. Applications are open starting today, Feb. 17, through March 9, 2026.

All applications must include:

  • Description of planned work.
  • Project timeline.
  • Detailed cost estimate (itemized for multi-component projects).
  • Recent photograph of the building and historical photograph if available.

Applications must be submitted using the designated form available on My Pages on the Reykjavík City website.
