Traffic lights at Miklabraut / Kringlumýrarbraut intersection to be powered down

Preparatory work has been underway in recent weeks on the traffic light control cabinet at the city's busiest signalized intersection, Miklabraut/Kringlumýrarbraut.
The project includes installing backup power generators to ensure the lights remain operational during power outages, thereby enhancing safety for travelers.
Activating the new equipment requires a temporary power shutdown. Power to the cabinet will be disconnected next Saturday morning, April 12, at 8am. The power outage is expected to last up to 60 minutes.
Traffic lights will be non-functional during this period. Motorists should follow other traffic signs in the area. Police will be on site to direct traffic if necessary. The operation is specifically scheduled during a time when traffic volume is at its lowest to minimize disruption.
