Frá Álfsnesi

Development of an eco-industrial park at Álfsnes is moving forward. The City is seeking a team to prepare a framework plan for the site, along with a development plan detailing how to establish a green industrial park there. Following a recently completed feasibility study, the City Executive Council decided to advance the eco-industrial park's development at Álfsnes.

Interested parties with interdisciplinary expertise in this field have until Oct. 1 to submit proposals. Price inquiry data and additional information are available on Reykjavík City's procurement website.

Álfsnes is an ideal location for an eco-industrial park. The site boasts robust infrastructure, including a port and planned road connections in multiple directions. It also provides access to diverse resource streams that can support future operations. Proposals from interested companies can easily integrate into an industrial ecosystem supporting a circular economy. Driving the eco-industrial park's development forward to create a hub for innovative activity at Álfsnes remains a top priority. These are among the key findings of the Álfsnes eco-industrial park feasibility study.
