Celebs compose this year's Children's Culture Festival song
This year's Children's Culture Festival song will be composed by the party stars in the band Celebs!
The band Celebs consists of siblings Valgeir Skorri, Hrafnkell Hugi and Katla Vigdís! They have all won Icelandic Music Experiments, come from Suðureyri, have a great sense of humor and are passionate about children's culture. We are therefore enormously grateful to have them collaborate with us.
This year's song will focus on democracy in honor of the Icelandic republic's anniversary in 2024. Recently, fourth-grade classes in the city received the assignment to answer all kinds of questions about democracy in the broad sense. The song's lyrics will be based on responses from fourth-grade students and will premiere by Celebs at Harpa's Eldborg Hall on April 23.
