Legal entity sign-in and authorization on My Pages
Signing in as a company or association
Individuals with procuration authority for companies, organizations, or public authorities can sign in to My Pages for their organization at http://island.is to grant authorization and manage access control rights.
1. Sign in to My Pages using your personal electronic ID.
2. To switch service users, click your name in the upper right corner and select switch user.
3. The parties you have access to will then appear.
If your procuration registration is missing from My Pages, contact the Company Registry at the Icelandic Tax Administration. Procuration holders can then grant access and access control rights to others.
You can easily edit or revoke access and access control rights—for example, when an employee leaves.
Signing in as an institution or public authority
Public authorities must register a procuration holder with the Icelandic Tax Administration to access My Pages and the Authorization System at http://Ísland.is. Once that registration is active, authorized signatories can view data on My Pages and grant delegations and access control rights from there.

Granting delegations and access control rights
Authorized signatories for companies, associations, and institutions can grant delegations to others through the delegation system at http://Ísland.is. You can do this in a few simple steps:
1. Sign in to My Pages as a company, or switch to the company using the upper right corner.
2. Select access control.
3. From there, you can choose who to grant access to, which activities or data they can access, and how long that access remains active.
Granting access control rights on behalf of an authorized signatory
Authorized signatories can also grant access control rights to individuals, allowing those individuals to grant others access to My Pages on the authorized signatory's behalf. You can do this in a few simple steps:
- Sign in to My Pages as a company, or switch to the company using the upper right corner.
- Select access control.
- Select the party to receive access control rights, check Access control, and specify which data that party can view and share access to.
The person granted access control rights can then sign in on behalf of the company and grant others access to specified company data.
Revoking a delegation
Anyone who has granted a delegation can revoke it at any time in a few simple steps.
- Sign in to My Pages using your personal electronic ID.
- Switch to the company whose access you want to close. Do this by clicking your name in the upper right corner and selecting switch user.
- Once signed in as the relevant company, select access control.
- Select the individual whose delegation you want to revoke and delete the delegation.
The individual whose delegation you revoked will no longer be able to sign in on behalf of the company and will receive an automatic notification.
Homeowners' associations
To obtain authorized signatory status on behalf of a company, association, or homeowners' association, you must submit the most recent annual general meeting minutes to the tax authority, clearly identifying who serves as chair.
Granting authorization to others on paper
Foreign authorized signatories who do not hold an Icelandic electronic ID can register an individual in Iceland to handle matters on behalf of their business. With this delegation in place, that individual can, for example, access information and carry out various actions on behalf of the foreign authorized signatory.
This option is particularly useful for foreign authorized signatories of companies who need to manage various matters in Iceland but are unable to use an electronic ID. This delegation grants access to all of the legal entity's data held by institutions using the delegation system at http://Ísland.is, including data in the digital mailbox on My Pages and various information related to assets and finances. The delegation also includes authorization to submit applications on behalf of the legal entity with institutions that use the delegation system.
• Only foreign authorized signatories may grant delegations to other individuals on paper; applications from Icelandic authorized signatories with a legal residence in Iceland are not accepted.
• Foreign authorized signatories must include a copy of their passport with the application.
• This delegation provides access only to the digital services of public authorities connected to the delegation system at http://Ísland.is, and does not extend to other services or systems. A list of parties connected to the system is available under the Access Control button on My Pages.
You can apply in a few simple steps:
1. Print the form: Paper form for authorization — foreign authorized signatories
2. Fill in all fields on the form.
3. Have two witnesses sign the form. (If the witnesses are foreign nationals, you must submit a copy of their ID along with the form.)
4. Scan or photograph the completed form.
5. The individual serving as the representative must submit the completed form along with a copy of the authorized signatory's ID through the application below.
The foreign authorized signatory may revoke the authorization through the district commissioner. To do so, the individual must appear in person at a district commissioner's office and present a valid photo ID.
