Employment and prevention

The employment advisors of Hitt Húsið specialise in helping young people in their search for a job and in strengthening their position in the labour market. Peer educators discuss and educate other young people about life and existence, and group work is offered to young people who want to get to know other young people.

Employment counselling and work resource courses

Hitt Húsið has professional counsellors and you can make appointments for free professional counselling, either in the Hina House or electronically. Young people on the unemployment register can also download the job search courses Vitamins and University Vitamins.

However, the employment advisors of the House of Representatives are maintaining the recruitment of young people for summer jobs at the CoR's sports and youth clubs.

The peer education

The peer education program is aimed at young people aged 16–20 who go and talk to other young people about topics that concern young people, such as self-image, sex, mental health, drugs, and more.

The philosophy is that young people reach other young people better than others.

Vinfús - group work

The other House holds out group activities for young people aged 16–25. The job is for all young people who want to get to know other young people and also those who have been isolated in school or other social situations.

The job is to create a healthy foundation for entertainment and fun.
