In 2017, a closed idea competition was held for a comprehensive land-use plan for the plot bounded by Laugavegur, Bolholt, Skipholt, Brautarholt, and Nóatún. This is a picture from the winning proposal.

Skipholt and the new Holtatorg Square
The area between Skipholt, Bolholt, and Háaleitisbraut has two new building plots. One for a five-story office building with underground parking on the corner of Háaleitisbraut and a four-story residential building on the corner of Skipholt and Bolholt.
