Fees for swimming pools

The fees were approved by City Council in December 2023, and came into effect on January 1, 2024.

10 and 20 pass discount cards are for the exclusive use of registered holders of the cards, and their families.
People younger than 18 years of age are allowed to take a steam bath accompanied by an adult guardian. The steam baths are not intended for very young people.
People do not need to pay after their 67th birthday—you must show identity documents.
Larger groups can ask for quotes in advance by emailing sundkort@reykjavik.is. Requests need to be sent at least 48 hours in advance on weekdays.
Young people start paying on August 1 of the year they turn 16.
Children who reach the age of 10 during the year may go swimming alone without an escort as of June 1 that year.
