School openings have been delayed in three primary schools in Reykjavík because of Covid-19 cases.
The schools are Hvassaleitisskóli, Álftamýrarskóli and Barnaskóli Hjallastefnunnar but two seperate Covid-19 cases have come up among staff in the schools.
Because of this school openings that were scheduled on Monday have been cancelled. School authorities will contact parents to inform them about the situation and give instructions about homework etc.
After school centres at Álftamýrarskóli and Hvassaleitisskóli are not affected by the situation and will continue to work as scheduled.
