Skíðasvæðin

Tækifæri til skíðaiðkunar í og við borgina eru fjölbreytt. Þrjár skíðalyftur fyrir börn og byrjendur eru starfræktar innan borgarinnar. Gönguskíðaspor eru lögð á ýmsum stöðum og skíðasvæðin í Bláfjöllum og Skálafelli eru skammt utan borgarmarkanna.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing trails (loipes) are laid in and around the capital area when weather permits. Information about where and when cross-country skiing trails are groomed is available on the information page for cross-country skiing trails in the capital area.

Reykjavík City, in cooperation with Sporið, lays trails at Hólmsheiði and Rauðavatn when conditions allow. Ullur cross-country skiing club has laid trails in Heiðmörk. Various others have been laying trails in the capital area. Trails are also groomed in Bláfjöll, and information about them is available on the Bláfjöll website.
