Future development of Kjalarnes
Reykjavík City's Department of Environment & Planning welcomes residents and other interested parties to open meetings about the future development of Kjalarnes.
The meetings are part of the process of revising the municipal plan and creating a neighborhood plan for Kjalarnes and Grundarhverfi. The goal is to create a platform for conversation, information sharing and active participation of residents in shaping the future of the area.
The meetings will take place at Klébergsskóli:
Tuesday, April 29, 5-7pm
The meeting will present the work on revising the municipal plan and creating the neighborhood plan. Following the presentations, workshops will be held to discuss the main development opportunities for Kjalarnes, including:
- Strengthening the urban core and Grundarhverfi
- Outdoor recreation and forestry
- Business areas and development
- Development on farmlands
- Transportation

Wednesday, April 30, 3-7pm
This meeting will focus on discussions about the neighborhood plan for Kjalarnes. Urban planners and other specialists from Reykjavík City will be present to discuss local issues with attendees and gather ideas and perspectives.
