Parents of children who have moved to Iceland within the last twelve months, were not born in Iceland and have a native language other than Icelandic can apply for a three-week fee waiver for summer activities at after-school programs and youth centers. Please note that this only applies if openings are available for the requested week(s), and children must also be registered at Vala Leisure.

Reykjavík School of Work offers summer jobs to students in grades 8, 9, and 10. Parents can register their teens on the School of Work's website, where they can also find more details about the activities.
