Heima er yfirskrift nýrrar sýningar í Skoti Ljósmyndasafns Reykjavíkur með ljósmyndum eftir Hönnu Siv Bjarnardóttur.
Hanna heimsótti nokkra af eldri íbúum Stokkseyrar. Í stuttri heimsókn er hægt að komast að ýmsu um manneskjuna sem þar býr en heimilið endurspeglar persónuleika og sögu fólks.
Fólk safnar að sér húsgögnum og smáhlutum, sumir hlutir hafa mikið tilfinningalegt gildi á meðan öðrum er hent eftir stutta viðkomu á heimilinu.
„Í litlu samfélagi þekkjast allir og vita nokkurn veginn hvað er að gerast í lífi hvers og eins. Ég kannast við allt fólkið sem ég heimsótti en hafði komið heim til fæstra. Það er sérstök upplifun að koma í heimsókn til alls þessa fólks eftir að hafa ímyndað mér árum saman hvernig heimili þeirra er, en oft eru þau allt öðruvísi en ég sá fyrir mér,“ segir Hanna Siv Bjarnadóttir. Sýningin stendur til 29. maí næstkomandi.
Hanna Siv Bjarnardóttir útskrifaðist úr Ljósmyndaskólanum í janúar 2017. Þetta er fyrsta einkasýning hennar í opinberu rými. Hún hefur sett upp yfirlitssýningu á verkum sínum á kaffihúsinu Kaffigott á Stokkseyri, ásamt samsýningum og útskriftarsýningu í Ljósmyndaskólanum.

Home is the name of a new exhibition in Skotið at Reykjavík Museum of Photography containing photos by the photographer Hanna Siv Bjarnardóttir.
Hanna visited a number of senior citizens living in Stokkseyri – a small town on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. In just a short window of time, she learned all sorts of things about the people living there with their homes reflecting their owners personalities and the stories of their lives.
People tend to collect furniture and all sorts of paraphernalia throughout their lives; some of the things are treasured keepsakes while others are merely functional and thrown away after they have served their purpose.
“In small communities like Stokkseyri, everybody knows each other and each other's business too. I got to know all the people I visited and I visited a few. Visiting them was an experience in itself, especially after having imagined over the years what their homes would be like. More often than not the reality was completely different from what I had envisaged,” says Hanna Siv Bjarnardóttir. The exhibition ends on May 29, 2018.
Hanna Siv Bjarnardóttir graduated from the Icelandic School of Photography in January 2017. Home is her first official exhibition. She has also installed a retrospective of her works at the Kaffigott cafe in Stokkseyri in addition to both the group and graduation exhibition at the Icelandic School of Photography.
