According to the City Council's approval on May 8, 2014, the price for a building right with street charges in Wolverine and Reynisvatnás per apartment in a multi-family house is SEK 4.6 million, in town and couple houses the building right costs SEK 7.6 million and 11.1 million per single-family house up to 375 square meters. All the lots offered are buildable. Broadly speaking, the application process is as follows:

Building rights or land are applied for on a separate application form.
Allocated in the order in which applications are received.
An

  • application is received and the applicant receives a confirmation with a request to send documentation of the ability to pay or
    a loan promise
  • After the applicant has submitted the documentation, the application is submitted to the City Council, which assigns the right to build and lease the land. Then it's time for a binding purchase agreement.
    Land shall be paid within 45 days from the date of allocation (approved by the City Council). The land lease is concluded after the land/building right has been paid.
