Creating; is inventing, experimenting, growing, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun. This definition is well applicable to the cultural activities carried out in the Hina. A job that reflects the culture of young people, whether in the fields of music, theatre, visual arts, dance or other creative activities.

The Icelandic Music Experiments

From 1982 onwards, the musical experimentation has been one of the main platforms for young Icelandic orchestras and musicians aged 13-25 to perform their music.

 

The Icelandic Music Experiments is a music festival that lasts one week at the end of March and the beginning of April each year.

Youth Art Festival

Youth Art Festival, a youth arts festival, has been a year-round event in Reykjavik since 1992.

 

The festival lasts over a week, each time with a number of participants and enjoyers. It varies from year to year where the festival events take place.

The Street theatre

The street theatre has become well known among the general public, with the end of the theatre operating during the summer since 1994.

 

Since then, the theatre has fostered a large group of young people, many of whom currently work as renowned artists in various fields.

Art groups

Young people can apply and contribute ideas to creative projects.

 

Select groups or individuals will then have the opportunity to work on their ideas for eight weeks during the summer.

Fine Arts and Music

The Other House has a gallery where young artists can put on exhibitions of all kinds. It also has a fully equipped sound studio with a powerful computer, sound processors, instruments and equipment as well as a computer for image processing.

The other House has good facilities and equipment for young musicians to give concerts and perform their music.
