The primary goal of these activities is to promote the activity and social inclusion during their free time. The program is for young people classified under care categories 1–3 according to the Social Insurance Administration.
In the summer, young people who have participated in school year activities are offered employment-related recreational activity. The objective is for the youth to experience various jobs in the general labor market and for the labor market to become acquainted with them.
On Thursday evenings from 5pm to 9pm, there are open evening activities for ages 16 to 30. A varied program is offered, organized by the youth and staff.
Art Without Borders is a festival showcasing all art forms and fostering collaboration among artists. The festival's purpose is to increase cultural equality and diversity by creating a professional platform and opportunities for disabled artists. Hitt Húsið is a member of the festival.
