The last day of the exhibitions Children of the Eye at Reykjavík Art Museum - Asmundarsafn, and More is Beautiful and Panik at Hafnarhús is Monday, 1 May.
The exhibition Children of the Eye shows works by Ásmundur Sveinsson (1893–1982) and Þorvaldur Skúlason (1906–1984). They both focused greatly on the formalist imagery of their work, thus connecting themselves to modernist traditions.
The exhibition More is Beautiful shines a special light on Erró´s works which revolve around excess and density. This imaging has been an important part of his art and goes all the way back to his earliest work.
In the installation Panik, Artist Ilmur Stefánsdóttir transforms the exhibition space through video art which seems to be intertwined with the hall´s structure and shakes from the strenuous efforts of a woman which serve no obvious purpose.
